First Snow

Well, not truly our first snow... just the first to prove constructive. Here is Jer and Scotty's vampire snowman:
And here's Scotty dwarfed by some random neighborhood kids. He's extraordinarily proud of his little man. Checks on him daily:
Merry Christmas everyone!

Yay! Fall. We had a lovely fall here in PA. Unfortunately fall reminds me of how inept my camera is at capturing what it's really like to be walking among every color in the rainbow. You'll just have to imagine it. It was heavenly. Late fall dry crusty leaves can be easily captured, however:

itchy itchy
woo! woo! chicka chicka bow! wow!

It's chilly enough that we don't spend much time out anymore. Scotty's energy has turned to creating random things we find kicking around the house on a regular basis. This one was created especially for papa, who is obviously enjoying the modeling bit:
To close, a little doctor's office entertainment. (Scotty's new favorite face, I guess?)

The Chesapeake

Our October trip to MD to visit Ben was especially fun. We decided to go to the Bay, and since it was chilly, we had the beach *to ourselves.* The boys had an absolute blast, as boys are wont to do, digging and throwing sand, climbing on the jettys posted with "danger keep off," climbing trees with Uncle Ben, and scaring seagulls. Highlight of the day: remember when Scott forgot his shoes for our trip to NYC? This time we forgot James' clothes. Yep. All of them. He stayed in his butter yellow fuzzy jammies at the beach, the park, and the restaurant. Oh well, at least he was comfy and warm, right?

The State Park we visited had the *coolest ever* playground made out of old tires of all shapes and sizes. There was an obstacle course, a tire tower, and old-timey tire car, and tire bits covering the ground to squash and jump on. Fun times.

Better late than never, right? Scotty had several different Halloween activities to attend this year, and insisted on a different costume for each one. They're obviously all craft box costumes, so I didn't mind. We had a blast. The only props he needed were from the dollar store.
Costume #1: Sir Scott, knight of the realm
Costume #2: Woody from Toy Story
(like the spurs?)
Scott and Annie, aka best friend/girlfriend/"wife" before the preschool party:
We were surprised to see his best little preschool buddy Jassay as Buzz!
Here's the crew:
Costume # 3: for the ward trunk or treat, he was Scotty Isaac Luke Skywalker Tilton. And one of his sunbeam friends showed up as an adorably shy little Leia:
For trick or treating, he decided Vampire Luke Skywalker would be cooler, but unfortunately we didn't get a shot of that getup.

James was a squeezable, grunting monkey. Perfectly suited to his current verbal skills:
And this was a random pic on the camera, possibly a sugar high? Strike a pose.
